Blast from the Past: Sonic 4 for the Super Nintendo

February 8, 2010 |  by Paul Stachniak  |  Nintendo, Random Stuff

Currently the internet is abuzz about Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 coming out later this summer. However, few people may recall the original Sonic 4 released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo. Okay, so it’s not actually a legitimate game, per say – rather a hack of Sunsoft’s Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos. Still, is it really all that different from the Sonic we know and love? Didn’t Sonic 3 has Mario stuck in cages as well? And they say nothing good comes from Peru.

  1. It seems bizarre and, somehow, wrong that he is rescuing Marios instead of little cute creates.

  2. Still better than the last 4 Sonic titles.
