Good news, kids! Those years of sitting on the couch my not be wasted after all. It must have been a video game fan who thought this up. A British intelligence agency, The Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), is about to start a recruitment campaign through our Xbox Live dashboard and a few select games. Sorry Wii and PS3 owners, no spy stuff for you… yet.

The GCHQ not only addresses ‘traditional threats’ but also helps government departments, such as the Ministry of Defence to protect their information and communication systems, and operates under the guidance of the Joint Intelligence Committee. So, among other things, it’s kind of like the opposite of the movie Hackers. Anyway, they’ve hired the recruitment firm TMP Worldwide to look for 18 to 34-year-old’s who are good at “quick thinking, problem solving and team work.”

So, brush up on your strategy and trash talk and please, pretty please, try not say “your mother” every other sentence because the recruitment drive, starting this weekend, will be running for the next six weeks. Get out there and try to unlock the spy achievement!
