Remember that remake of Earthworm Jim announced last month? At the time, no one quite knew what to expect from GameLoft’s acquisition of the properly, that is until someone bothered to ask them. If you head on over to GamerBytes, they’ll give you the full scoop. In short, the title will be receiving a Monkey Island style upgrade: improved visuals, smoother animation, as well as levels of difficulty (a first for the series). None of the original team is returning to the project, however, Tommy Tallarico’s score will stay intact. Frankly, all this seems rather unnecessary. Although, I suppose I can’t blame GameLoft for attempting to revive one of my favorite video games. More details here.
