Modern Warfare 2 exploit drives users to the brink of madness

Modern Warfare 2 has been out for some time, and like all games, the longer it’s out the more time users have to try and get a competitive edge. Some users are willing to go a little farther than others and search for “exploits” and “glitches”. It’s become a abundantly clear that there’s something wrong with the state of play on the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer matches, as one particular glitch has taken the online multiplayer by storm. Known as the “javelin glitch” or “launcher exploit”, essentially, it allows players to turn themselves into a walking bomb, one that will detonate only when they are killed, and killing all those around them. The process involves preparing to throw a grenade and then switching to a missile launcher. When killed, the launcher will go off and the warhead will immediately explode, killing everyone around it.

Rumours persist that Microsoft has threatened to ban users from using the exploit, but no official statement has been made. Infinity Ward tweeted that they are working on a fix and that the users caught using the glitch will be suspended.

“While IW works on getting the MW2 glitch fixed, people we catch using it will receive suspensions from LIVE. Play fair everyone. :>”

bleck, its more of an annoyance, then anything. doesn’t help a team win or improve K/D ratio. I guess for those with under 1.0 its worth something :p

You’ll take note that many people using this glitch head straight for Ground War and try to take out as many people as they can with one hit, drastically increasing their k/d ratio. Does it help the team? No, but, do you expect people who are essentially cheating to have a good sense of “team”.
