Nintendo must be happy with New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii. The title sold roughly 550,000 units on launch day, becoming the third fast-selling game this year. The pre-order numbers for the title weren’t too shabby either – coming in around 520,000. Mario better look out, however, this week brings some heavy competition from Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin’s Creed 2 and the still-sought after Modern Warfare 2. That said, the plumber always comes out on top, no?
